Burç Pekpınarlı

Uzm. Dt. Burç Pekpınarlı graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at Ege University and then started his specialty training in Pedodontics (Pediatric Dentistry) at the same university. During this period, he worked on topics related to preventive applications for oral and dental health in children, as well as the treatment of primary teeth and young permanent teeth. Throughout his specialty training, he worked at the pedodontics clinic at Ege University, conducting case studies on dental caries, trauma, and other dental health issues in children of various age groups.

One of the areas that most attracted his academic interest was regenerative endodontics. In his research on developing permanent teeth, he studied the effects of calcium hydroxide and antibiotic mixtures on treatment outcomes. A study he conducted on this topic was published in the Journal of Applied Oral Science. He was also a co-author of a study that assessed the impact of dental caries and malocclusion on the quality of life in preschool children in Izmir. The findings of this study revealed how children's oral health affects their school performance and social interactions.

After completing his specialty training, he worked as a pediatric dentist at an oral and dental health center in Manisa. He then joined the team at CEON Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic in Izmir. During this period, he worked with pediatric patients with special conditions, such as congenital neutropenia, and contributed to various proteomic studies. He continued his work in a wide range of areas, from preventive dentistry applications to regenerative procedures. In addition to his work at the clinic, he provided practical training on tooth brushing and oral care to children at events organized by local municipalities. These activities served as efforts to raise awareness about children's dental health in the community.
