Dr. Sami Güvenç completed his undergraduate education at the Faculty of Dentistry, Ege University, between 2005 and 2010. After acquiring basic dental knowledge and skills during this period, he began his specialization in orthodontics at Cumhuriyet University in Sivas. During the 2010-2015 period, he worked on various methods used in the diagnosis and treatment of jaw and dental disorders. He chose the topic of "reusability of mini implants in orthodontic applications" as his specialization thesis and evaluated the data on this subject in detail.
After completing his education, he started working at the Denizli Oral and Dental Health Center in 2015. While continuing his work in orthodontics, in 2016, he joined the faculty at the Faculty of Dentistry, Usak University, and earned the title of assistant professor. Here, he made academic contributions to orthodontics by teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. During this period, he also took on administrative responsibilities within the faculty and directed the work conducted in the Department of Orthodontics. Güvenç, who presented at various scientific congresses and seminars, focused particularly on topics such as jaw expansion, tooth movements, and anchorage systems.
After completing his academic duties, he entered the private sector and joined the CEON Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic in Izmir. At this clinic, he took part in managing the orthodontics department and began planning treatments for issues such as dental and jaw misalignments, jaw narrowing, and occlusion disorders. He offered patients various methods, including ceramic or metal bracket treatments, transparent aligners, and surgically assisted orthodontic procedures. During his time there, he contributed as a co-author in research articles published in local and international journals. He made academic contributions to the field of dentistry with studies he published on various topics, such as the safety and repeated use of mini implants and jaw expansion approaches under local anesthesia. He continues to plan all stages of orthodontic treatments at his clinic while pursuing scientific research.
