Dr. Tayfun Türkaslan, after graduating from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in Izmir, began his specialty training in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, following his success in the Medical Specialization Examination. During this period, he focused on surgical practices and participated in the academic activities of the department, engaging in various research projects. In 1997, he went to England and worked at St. James Seacroft University Hospital, where he gained experience with different methods at that time.
After returning to Turkey, he worked for about two years at Istanbul Yavuz Selim Hospital. He then spent seven years working at the healthcare institution previously known as Vakıf Gureba Hospital, now affiliated with Bezm-i Alem University, where he carried out various applications in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. During this period, he continued his research and participated in the scientific congresses of his field.
In 2010, he achieved the title of Associate Professor in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, marking an important milestone in his academic career. During the same period, he continued his professional publication activities, with more than 20 articles published in international peer-reviewed journals. In these articles, he shared current findings related to surgical techniques and presented his research on topics related to his field.
He later continued his work in plastic surgery at his own clinic, Estetikport Aesthetic Surgery Clinic, where he focused on modern surgical methods and R&D projects in his practices. He is a member of organizations such as the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Society, the Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, and ISAPS. He regularly participates in scientific meetings and events organized by these associations.
