Dt. Şevket Tunalı graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 1999, marking the beginning of his professional career. During his undergraduate education, he learned the basic practices in oral and dental health and, after graduation, took steps to further develop his skills in this field. In the early years of his career, he worked at Vehbi Koç Foundation American Hospital and its subsidiary MedAmerikan Polyclinic, serving a large patient group. During this time, he gained comprehensive knowledge in preventive dentistry, restorative treatments, prosthetic solutions, and many other treatment methods.
In 2006, he opened his own practice in Kalamış. Here, he performs various treatments, including preventive and aesthetic dentistry, root canal therapy, implant applications, and crown-bridge work. He focuses on ensuring that treatment planning carefully balances the preservation of oral and dental health with aesthetic expectations. Through teamwork at his clinic, he aims to enhance patient satisfaction. The clinic's infrastructure has been designed to include digital technologies.
After his practice in Kalamış, he established Tunalı Dental Academy Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic in Edirne. This institution not only provides dental treatment services to the Thrace region but also offers practical training opportunities for young dentists. Dt. Tunalı keeps up with developments in the field of dentistry by attending congresses and has made presentations at various professional events. By following scientific publications, he integrates the knowledge he gains into his clinical practices and occasionally shares cases with his colleagues. He is a member of professional organizations such as the Istanbul Chamber of Dentists and the Turkish Dental Association. While continuing his work in Kalamış and Edirne, he applies current methods in oral and dental health.
