Clinics must demonstrate that treatments are conducted by qualified physicians and that patient assessment, surgical planning, and postoperative follow-up are organized according to established medical practices. Facilities used for surgical care are also considered in the evaluation to determine whether they provide an appropriate clinical environment for planned procedures.

Medelysium does not operate clinics and does not promote facilities based on commercial arrangements or patient volume. Providers are presented to support transparency and to help patients understand where regulated medical care is delivered when exploring treatment abroad.

Consultations and treatment planning are conducted within the physician’s private clinic in İzmir, while surgical procedures are typically carried out in hospital environments equipped for plastic and reconstructive surgery. Such environments generally include sterile operating rooms, anesthesia systems, and postoperative monitoring areas designed for patient observation after surgical procedures.

Plastic surgery requires controlled clinical settings that support sterile surgical workflows, anesthesia safety, and perioperative monitoring. These environments typically maintain infection-control protocols and sterilization systems designed to support surgical procedures involving facial, breast, or body contouring operations.

Facility standards and the clinical infrastructure used for surgical care are reviewed as part of Medelysium’s evaluation process to determine whether the environment supports safe treatment conditions for patients traveling internationally for elective surgery.

The clinic receives patients from Türkiye and other countries who travel to İzmir for aesthetic surgical procedures. The treatment pathway often begins with preliminary communication in which medical history, photographs, or other relevant information may be reviewed to determine whether a procedure is appropriate before travel.  

International patient coordination may involve scheduling consultations, discussing surgical planning, and providing guidance regarding postoperative recovery expectations. İzmir’s established healthcare infrastructure also allows access to hospitals and clinical environments where surgical procedures can be performed when required.
