Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch (BPD/DS) Reviews
Blimey, where do I start? Had the BPD/DS with the doc about 9 months back. Honestly, totally life-changing. The weight's just dropped off, feel like a new bloke. The surgeon was brilliant, proper skilled, explained everything clearly. Bit nervous beforehand, naturally, but the whole team made me feel dead comfortable. Recovery wasn't a walk in the park, mind, but worth every second. Feel healthier than I have in donkeys' years. If you're thinking about it, just go for it. Top marks all round, really chuffed with the results. Cheers doc!
My BPD/DS journey with the surgeon and his team was remarkably smooth, considering how complex it is. From the initial consultation, he was thorough, patient, and answered all my questions, putting my mind at ease. The surgery itself went well, and the post-op care was excellent. The nurses were attentive, and the doctor checked in regularly. Adjusting to the new diet is ongoing, but the support provided has been fantastic. I felt genuinely cared for throughout the entire process. It’s a significant operation, but having such a competent and reassuring surgeon made all the difference for me.
Right then, had my BPD/DS surgery done by this surgeon a fair while back. Can't fault the man himself – top notch, knows his stuff inside out. The procedure went as planned, and the results are undeniable, the weight loss is significant. Recovery had its moments, felt pretty knackered the first few weeks, which is expected I suppose. Only tiny niggle was the hospital admin felt a bit slow sometimes sorting appointments, but that’s hardly the doc’s fault, is it? The important bit – the surgery and the surgeon's skill – was absolutely spot on. Definitely the right decision.
I was so terribly scared before my BPD/DS operation, but the doctor was just wonderful. He has such a calming way about him, explained everything without making it sound too terrifying, which really gave me the confidence I needed. The surgery has truly given me my life back – my type 2 diabetes is in remission, I can play with my grandkids properly now without getting breathless. It's like night and day. The aftercare has been great too, always someone to talk to if I have worries. Honestly, feeling quite emotional thinking about how much things have improved. Forever grateful.
Well, what can I say? The surgeon's a proper legend. Had the Duodenal Switch thingy, bit of a mouthful that one, innit? Was bricking it beforehand, if I'm honest, but he was so down-to-earth, made you feel like you were his only patient that day. Surgery went without a hitch. The follow-up has been bang on too – they really keep an eye on you, making sure you're taking the vitamins and all that jazz. Honestly, best thing I ever did for myself. Feel fitter than a butcher's dog now! Big thanks to the doc and all the lovely staff.
