Dr. Şakir Akdemir graduated from medical school in Turkey and began his career as a general practitioner. One of his first assignments was in Yozgat, where he conducted patient examinations and basic medical procedures. Later, his interest in aesthetics and hair transplantation led him to focus on medical aesthetics and hair transplantation procedures in Istanbul. During this period, he worked in various clinics, learning the steps of surgical procedures, and started providing services as a general practitioner in a private clinic, focusing on cosmetic treatments.
His application of various methods such as FUE and DHI in hair transplantation led to his increasing popularity among both local and international patients in Istanbul. He also included facial hair transplants, such as beard, mustache, and eyebrow transplants, into his practice. By adding procedures like botox, dermal fillers, PRP, and mesotherapy to his portfolio, he combined different techniques in aesthetic interventions. In line with these interests, he played an active role in the establishment of FKS Clinic in Istanbul and contributed to its development both in Turkey and the United Kingdom.
To be closer to his patients in the UK, Dr. Akdemir continues his work under the roof of FKS Clinic London. Here, he is involved in pre-operative evaluations, procedural planning, and follow-up stages, while also performing medical aesthetic procedures. In accordance with the corporate structure, the clinic in Fulham accepts patients in compliance with the health standards of the United Kingdom. Dr. Akdemir continues to offer hair transplantation and medical aesthetic treatments to his patients in both Istanbul and London, following his professional interests and staying updated with current techniques.
