Op. Dr. Hakan Demirel was born in 1984 in Istanbul. He spent his middle and high school years in Nevşehir and Amasya. In 2002, he started at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine and graduated as a medical doctor in 2009. After completing his medical education, he was accepted for specialty training in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Kartal Lütfi Kırdar Education and Research Hospital. During this process, he dealt with many cases and operations involving micro surgery, reconstructive surgery, and various aesthetic procedures.
During his specialty training, he participated in various certificate and course programs. In 2013, he developed his practical skills in hand surgery at the Basic Hand Surgery and Acute Hand Injuries Course held at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. During the same period, he completed the Basic Microsurgery Course organized by Yeditepe University, gaining additional expertise in microsurgery. He also received training in the necessary ethical committees for use in experimental studies during this time.
After becoming a specialist, he worked at Bitlis State Hospital as part of his public service. He then returned to Istanbul, worked briefly at a private aesthetic center, and later opened his own private clinic. Here, he focused on facial, body, and breast surgery. While continuing his work, he also contributed to scientific publications. He published articles in different journals on topics such as hand surgery, glomus tumors, and eyelid repair. He performed procedures in areas such as rhinoplasty, liposuction, tummy tuck, and breast aesthetics, and continued his professional development by attending congresses and conferences.
Currently, he provides services to his patients in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery in Istanbul. He also continues his academic work, making sure to stay up to date with new methods and techniques.
