Dr. Erman Ak completed his education, which began in Mersin, at Mersin Science High School and graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2014. During his residency at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, he worked in various surgical areas such as congenital hand anomalies, nerve transfers, and microsurgical procedures. During this period, he also participated in surgeries related to congenital clefts of the lip and palate, as well as jaw and facial surgeries. In 2018, he enhanced his knowledge in microsurgery by collaborating with Ahmet Hoke, and at the same time, he attended a program at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fu Chan Wei.
In 2019, he gave an oral presentation titled "LOWER flaps" at the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery congress and received his specialization degree with a thesis on "Investigation of Donor Site Morbidity After Latissimus Dorsi Muscle Flaps." Later, he took part in the structuring of the Plastic Surgery Department at Başakşehir Çam and Sakura Hospital and performed significant surgical procedures such as foot and jaw bone transplants at the hospital.
In 2022, he completed a three-month ISAPS fellowship program at Villa Bella Clinic in Italy under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Giovanni Botti and Chiara Botti, receiving additional training in facial and breast aesthetics. Dr. Erman Ak, who holds the European Board of Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS) certification and is a member of ISAPS, currently performs surgical procedures such as facelifts, rhinoplasty, breast aesthetics, and body contouring at his clinic in Nişantaşı, Istanbul. He also accepts patients in both English and Turkish, providing services to international clients.
