Dr. Emek Külür began her dental education in 1989 at Ege University Faculty of Dentistry, a leading institution in Turkey, graduating successfully in 1994. Even during her studies, she gained early practical experience working in an Orthodontics Clinic. Following graduation, her ambition led her to seek advanced international training at New York University's (NYU) Department of Implant Dentistry, where she specialized for two years. During her time in New York, she gained invaluable experience working alongside prominent figures like Dr. Norman Cranin in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Brookdale Hospital, and assisting Dr. Denis Tornow, Head of the NYU Implant Department, in his private clinic focusing on Implant and Aesthetic Dentistry.
Upon returning to Turkey, Dr. Külür worked as a dentist at the reputable American Hospital. She subsequently played a pivotal role in establishing the dental departments at both Kadıköy Şifa Hospital and Memorial Hospital, serving as Head of Department in these institutions. This demonstrated significant leadership capabilities. In 2007, leveraging her extensive clinical and leadership experience, she founded her own clinic, Smile Institute, in Nişantaşı, Istanbul. Her career is strongly focused on Implant Dentistry and Aesthetic Dentistry, fields where she gained substantial expertise through her international training and collaborations.
