Dr. Alev Camcıoğlu was born in 1975 in Kırcaali and completed his primary education at Saint Michel French High School. He continued his medical education at Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine and earned his "Doctor of Medicine" title in 2001. He completed his specialty training in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery in 2008 and developed himself academically during this process.
After completing his mandatory service in different regions such as Hakkari, Kocaeli, and Muş-Varto, he served his military duty at the General Staff's Special Medical Dispensary. During these periods, he encountered various patient groups and participated in many surgical and outpatient procedures. After returning to Istanbul, he worked at Istanbul Hospital and Nişantaşı Hospitals, where he continued to work with a broad patient population in the surgical field.
Over time, he performed an increasing number of surgeries in his areas of special interest, such as rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, functional and ethnic rhinoplasty. He is known to have participated in over 1000 nasal surgeries, adopting different approaches both surgically and aesthetically in this field. As part of his scientific activities, he shed light on a rare infection case in the tongue with his publication titled "Actinomycosis of the tongue: a diagnostic dilemma."
Dr. Camcıoğlu, a member of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, has been continuing his work at his private clinic since 2016. By keeping up with developments in his field, he continues his practice based in Istanbul, placing great importance on supporting his professional career with academic research.
